GODOLOGY, WEEK 10
“God’s in a league all by Himself. He has no competition; He never ties a game.” (p. 134)
God should be mysterious to us. If he isn’t, then one of two things is wrong: either we are no longer amazed at Him, or He is no longer God. The God of the universe won’t fit into the box of my small mind. He’s too big for that. The problem in most lives, from the Old Testament Israelites to the church today, is that we forget to be amazed at God’s mystery. But George brings out the biggest mystery of all: why would this perfect God reveal Himself to sinners in rebellion? This mystery leads me to worship. I want to try labyrinth walking; while it seems a bit strange to me, I do see how it can be a helpful tool in walking with God and seeking Him out daily. Are there things we can do each day that will remind us of the mystery and majesty of our God?

This chapter talks about mostly how miraculously and powerful God is, and he can do anything. As humans we can even begin to wrap our minds around this greatness he has. Christian says that if we seen all he knew about, we would be as worthy as he is, but we cant do that. But being even like God can be a heavy burden that takes a powerful amount of Holiness. No one could ever become close to being him, except Billy Gram, lol jk.
Something that is a mystery to me that God created, or should I say let happen, was the holocaust. We talk about this a lot this year, and a mystery about God reminds me of this. Millions of people prayed to God for his help to get through this, and yet so many people where let down. Something mentioned about the holocaust was that after people lost hope, they where mad at Him and no longer continued their relationship with God. And that is still a huge mystery to me about God.
